Objectives of ‘Study in Japan Online Fair Thailand’

The Program of ‘Study in Japan Online Fair (Thailand)’ is to be prepared for Thai science high school students who wish to learn or to work in Japan in future as well as their teachers.

In previous occasions, we had held Face to Face events before. However at this time, due to COVID-19, we have decided to open it under virtual site circumstances.

Each participant can visit tables of any institution you are interested in and ask freely your questions and concerns to staff there. Japan Student Services Organization will give presentations about studying in Japan and will be available for individual consultations. Please feel free to join us!

Fukui University of Technology

Fukui University of Technology (FUT) is locating in the center of Fukui Prefecture.

FUT establishes three faculties, eight departments in bachelor's degrees.
There are Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Information, and Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences.

Moreover, FUT establishes two departments for graduate degrees.
There are the Department of Applied Science and Engineering. and the Department of Social System Engineering.

2,000 students are enrolling at FUT, 100 of them is an international student.
There are currently 7 Thai international students.

Kanazawa University

As it aims to carry out, Kanazawa University has been developing of "Kanazawa University brand" human resources who actively fulfill its mission in the international community, becomes a core leader in a knowledge-based society, and can always face the difficulties of the field not be afraid. And we have established the "Kanazawa University <Global⟩ Standard" (KUGS), which concretely represent this image of human resources with five specific abilities.

In order to enable students to acquire these five abilities by their graduationing, a systematic curriculum based on KUGS such as "Global Standard (GS) subjects" are provided at the International Institute of Core Education.

In addition, Kanazawa University is developing various advanced educational projects. For example, we are working to deepen and enhance active learning and to realize supportfull environment. To aim of it, suitable educational method and quantitative learning evaluation with the aim of building a curriculum that fosters student independence has been also installed. In the "Super Global University Project (SGU) Project", study abroad programs are provided that all students can improve their skills for international communication and negotiationing, as well as cultivate the ability to take off to the world as global human resources. Furthermore, as the quarter system has been installed, students can easily take on the challenge of studying abroad.

Kanazawa University is currently aiming to become a truly global university with all faculty and staff to work together to be a member of the world's top-level universities. The Nano Life Science Institute, which was established by the adoption of the "World's Top Level Research Center Program (WPI)", try to create a new academic field "Nanoprobe Life Science", and the Nanomaterials Institute is trying to develop new materials and devices. Furthermore, the Institute of Design and Manufacturing Technology is expected to produce their research results that has potential of leading local industries.

Cultural Exchange
Kanazawa is indeed a treasury of traditional arts such as Kaga yuzen silk-dyeing, gold leaf and so on. In such an environment, Kanazawa University has been offering opportunities for international students to learn the Japanese language and culture while pursuing their academic careers.

Kanazawa University is a world-leading international education and research base. Nano Life Science Institute (NanoLSI), Kanazawa University is a research center established in 2017 as part of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Kansai University

Kansai University, founded in 1886, is a private university with 134 years of history.

We have English-based Program in Graduate School of Science and Engineering and Societal Safety Sciences, for instance; department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering, Chemical, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Life Science and Biotechnology and more.
Students seek to earn a Master’s degree and Ph.D. degree in Graduate School of Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences.

On the other hand, you can deepen your knowledge about Japan at Japanese Language and Culture Program preparatory course (Bekka). They offer various programme, such as Japanese Language, Japanese and the World, and more. Bekka students may move forward with entering Kansai University or other Japanese universities as a regular student on completing their study at Bekka and passing entrance examination.

Kansai University does provide supports to international students.
We offer a variety of scholarships both by the university and outside source.
On accommodation, we have five kinds of accommodation.
In regard to career supports, SUCCESS-Osaka, our employment support project entrusted by the Japan’s government ministry MEXT, helps international students to seek jobs in Japan. For instance, it provides students with opportunities of internship by joint development with companies.

Okayama University

Okayama University, one of Japan’s leading universities, has established history of 150 years. Okayama University originates from the medical school sponsored by the Lord of Okayama founded in 1870. This medical school was reorganized several times and became Okayama Medical College in 1922, and several schools were established as Okayama National University in 1949. Over 13,000 students including 760 international students are studying at 11 faculties and 8 graduate schools. The Discovery Program for Global Learners (GDP) is a 4 year undergraduate program that can be completed entirely in English. The program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. In addition, advanced speakers of Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) can also take courses in other faculties in Japanese and even conduct their senior project in Japanese. Shibaura Institute of Technology

Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) has firmly maintained “learning through practice” as the philosophy in education of engineers ever since Tokyo Higher School of Industry and Commerce, the predecessor to SIT, was established in 1927. Shinshu Univercity

Founded in 1949, Shinshu University is a national university in Japan consisting of 8 undergraduate faculties and 5 graduate schools spread across 5 campuses over Nagano Prefecture. Shizuoka University

Shizuoka University is a national University with two campuses located in Shizuoka city and Hamamatsu. Shizuoka prefecture is well located on the major transport route between Tokyo and Kyoto. There are six faculties at Shizuoka University; Humanities, Education, Informatics, Science, Engineering and Agriculture. There are also two research institutes at Shizuoka, those of Electronics and Green Science.
In 2015 Shizuoka introduced the Asia Bridge Program, offering scholarships to students from Asia, including Thailand. The bachelor program for Asia Bridge is offered in Japanese in six faculties, and four STEM field departments offer a two year Master’s studies in English. The University offers Japanese language lessons for all international students for free of charge.
